You Don’t Have to Keep Having the Same Conversation

Couples therapy to help you communicate more effectively, rebuild connection, and move forward—together.

When Things Start to Feel Hard

At some point, many couples find themselves stuck in the same patterns—miscommunication, tension, distance, or conflict that doesn’t seem to resolve.

You might feel unheard, misunderstood, or disconnected from each other. Conversations can quickly turn into arguments—or shut down altogether.

Even when you care deeply about each other, it can feel like you’re on different teams.

There’s a Reason It Feels This Way

These patterns don’t happen because something is “wrong” with your relationship.

They often come from deeper emotional patterns, stress, and nervous system responses that get activated in moments of conflict or disconnection.

When those patterns take over, it can be hard to access the version of yourself that feels calm, open, and connected.

What We Can Work On

• Communication breakdowns and recurring arguments
• Emotional distance or disconnection
• Trust issues or rebuilding after hurt
• Feeling stuck in negative cycles
• Navigating life stress, burnout, or major transitions together
• Strengthening emotional and physical intimacy

My Approach

I use a trauma-informed, nervous system–based approach to couples therapy.

This means we’re not just focusing on what’s being said—we’re understanding what’s happening underneath it.

Together, we’ll:
• Slow down reactive patterns
• Increase emotional awareness and regulation
• Help each partner feel seen and understood
• Build new ways of communicating and connecting

Our work is collaborative and balanced—supporting both individuals while strengthening the relationship as a whole.

Want to Make Faster Progress?

In addition to weekly sessions, I offer couples intensives—extended sessions that allow us to work more deeply in a focused period of time.

This can be especially helpful if you’re feeling stuck, navigating a major issue, or wanting to create meaningful change more quickly.

Where I Practice

In-person sessions are available in Idaho.
Virtual sessions are available for couples located in Utah, Maine, Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon.

You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step—but it’s often the beginning of meaningful change.

We’ll start with a consultation to understand what’s been happening and what you’re hoping for moving forward.

What’s Possible

With the right support, couples can begin to:

• Communicate more clearly and effectively
• Feel more emotionally connected and supported
• Navigate conflict without escalation or shutdown
• Rebuild trust and closeness
• Feel like you’re on the same team again

Change doesn’t happen overnight—but it is possible.
