Your Nervous System has been in survival mode and it’s been protecting you. Now it’s time to do the work of letting your brain and body know it is okay to stand down and move past survival mode.

Trauma is not about the event or events it is about how the brain and body react to all the events that come after.

It’s feeling anxious, like you always have to be “on”, needing to be perfect, and feeling shameful and guilty for resting or putting yourself first.

It can hurt your relationships, make you feel as if you aren’t good enough, and make you feel as if your exhausted no matter how much you try to get everything done. It feels as if you are never quite enough.

You’re not broken, you’re in survival mode and your body thinks that you are constantly running from a threat. Therapy can help you feel like it is okay to put you first, and teach your brain and body that you don’t have to survive anymore that you can thrive.

Are You Tired of Feeling Broken?

You Might Be Experiencing

Feeling anxious, on edge, or easily overwhelmed

• Shutting down, numbing out, or feeling disconnected

• Overthinking or difficulty concentrating

• Feeling afraid, or jumpy, or triggered out of nowhere.

• Feeling like you are sabotaging your relationships and don’t know why.

• A sense of having to have control of everything and you have to be “on” all the time.

My Approach

I use techniques that help to regulate your nervous system (Brainspotting, EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy) to help your brain and body feel like they are talking to each other again.

This is not just rehashing the past—it’s helping your brain and body process the trauma so that you can feel your brain and body belong to you again and not filled with stress and tension.

We work together as a team to help you feel, grounded, safe and supported.

How Can I help?

Trauma Therapy can:

• Help you feel more calm and regulated in your body

• Triggers feel less intense and life feels less overwhelming.

• Start trusting yourself, and feel safe in your mind and body.

• Stop self sabotaging and show up the way you want in your relationships.

• Stop leaving in survival mode, and be more ground and present.

Traditional 50 minute session not feel like quite enough?

If you feel an hour is not quite long enough, I offer EMDR intensives for clients who want to move through trauma in a deeper, more focused way.

Intensives can be a great way to get the relief your craving, and take a deep dive into your emotions in a safe, and supportive environment.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

If you’re ready to get the relief you’re craving we can schedule a chat and discuss your specific path to healing.
